2- All tapes must be turned into True Value Vernal or KNEU/KFIX studio by 5 pm Friday June 8th.

3- The finalists will be announced on Tuesday June 12th - 7:30 AM news cast on KNEU and the 8 AM news cast on the Fox 98.5.

4- Because of the amount of tapes being entered we cannot guarantee there return.

5- All finalists will be given and equal opportunity to work with the band, finalists will be contacted by the band leader, giving further details.

6- See rules and regulation sheet on entry form.  The judge and regulation sheet are the same on every level of competition.

HOW IT WORKS
Each  Spring,  the Showdown  begins  with hundreds of local talent contests sponsored by country music radio stations throughout the  United  States.    Winners   advance   to their  respective State competitions  held at leading  fairs  and  expositions.   Acts  then compete for a  $1,000 prize,  the State Title and the opportunity to advance  to one of the six   Regional   Finals.     It's   the  last  step before    the   prestigious   National  Finals, which  is  televised   to  a national  audience from country musics most exciting venues, like the  stage  of  the  Grand Ole Opry, the Grand   Palace  Theater   in   Branson,   the historic  Ryman Auditorium,  Epcot at Walt Disney   World,    and    Universal    Studios Florida.   A uniform judging system is used at   all    levels   of   competition   to   ensure fairness.    Audiences  from   coast-to-coast cheer   on   the   Regional  winners,  as they compete   for   the   Grand Prize of $50,000 and the National Title.

The  19th Annual True Value CountryShowdown is designed
to   find   the  most    promising
country      music     talent     in
America   and    to   give   these
performers a chance to launch
their      professional       music
careers.   The  Showdown  also
promotes  appreciation  for the
country    music   through   the
participation of over  400 radio
stations   and   the   support   of
millions    of   Showdown   fans
who,    each   year,   enjoy   new
talent,    new   music,   and   the
drama   of   high-stakes
competition.

WHO MAY COMPETE
The   Showdown   is   open   to
vocal    and / or    instrumental
performers,    individuals,    or
groups of up to seven members
who  have  not  performed  on a
record   listed   in  the national
record   charts   of   Billboard,
Radio   and   Record,  or   The
Gavin Report  within eighteen
months preceding local
competition.
